On Friday, July 20th, at approximately 4:30pm, South Salem firefighters were toned out to a reported head-on car accident with entrapment, on Route 121 in the area of Todd Road. Car 2453 arrived on scene first and updated the location to Route 121 between Todd Road and Route 138 (the same location as a single car roll over the night before). As Rescue 21 arrived on scene, it was determined that extrication was not needed and crews went to work stabilizing the vehicles and assisting LVAC and WEMS with patient care. Fire Police shut down Route 121 at Todd Road and at Route 138.
