| On Saturday December 31st at 12:20pm firefighters were dispatched to the area of 1310 Route 35 for a motor vehicle accident with entrapment.
Car 2452, Rescue 21 and Engine 167 were on the initial response and upon arrival observed two heavily damaged vehicles. Fortunately each vehicle was occupied by only a driver and both had managed to exit their vehicles prior to fire department arrival.
Utility 79 and Engine 168 were requested to close the roadway on both sides of the accident scene. The roadway was closed for an extended period of time due to the location of the vehicles and necessary roadway cleanup.
One driver was transported to Northern Westchester Hospital by Lewisboro VAC, the other driver refused medical attention at the scene. |
