Shortly after clearing the MVA on Rt. 35 and with the roads covering over with snow, South Salem firefighters were dispatched to Rt 121 and Hilltop Rd for a motor vehicle accident with fire.
As units were responding, 2454 arrived on scene and provided an update of a single car off the road, fully involved with the lone occupant out. Engine 167 arrived, stretched a line and extinguished the fire. The driver was treated at the scene by Lewisboro VAC and WEMS Paramedic before being transported to Danbury Hospital for evaluation.
