On Wednesday, March 11th, at approximately 9:48 PM the South Salem Fire Department responded to a report of a motor vehicle fire next to a building at South Salem Auto Repair, 1 Old Oscaleta Rd South Salem, NY. After extinguishing the fire, the owner of the business was discovered deceased in the vehicle. The scene was then turned over to Lewisboro PD and New York State Police. Out of respect for the family and the continuing investigation, no further information or comments will be made by South Salem FD regarding this incident.
