On the evening of Monday, December 21st, 2020, members of the South Salem Fire Department took part in Operation Blue Santa & Good Night Lights hosted by the Westchester County Police. The event was a holiday inspired parade of Police, Fire, and EMS apparatus from throughout Westchester County gathering to surround Westchester Medical Center, Maria Fareri Children's Hospital and the Ronald McDonald House with lights, sirens, and horns to spread holiday cheer to all the patients and staff. The parade was led by a line of police motorcycles and many of the apparatus were decorated with lights and even a few blow-up snowmen. We are honored to have taken part in this event and hope that all of the patients get well soon. The Members of South Salem Fire Department wish you and your families all a very happy holidays and a safe and healthy New Year. |
