On the evening of February 21, 2024, Commissioner Michael Lombardi, of The South Salem Fire District, was sworn in by Commissioner Adam Ochs, of The Vista Fire District, for the position of President of the Association of Fire Districts of Westchester County.

Commissioner Lombardi is also an Ex-Chief and continuous top responder of the South Salem Fire Department.
