With a lot of annual activities for the South Salem Fire Department Venture Crew 62, it was another busy Memorial Day weekend for the group. Friday afternoon the crew headed out to the Pocono's in PA to partake in Lewisboro's Crew 2088 Annual Venture Social Weekend they hosted which includes white water rafting all day Saturday and paintballing all day Sunday. Spending the two nights in a tent, with a little rain, added to a great weekend. Fun was had by all, getting the experience to meet other local Venturers thanks to Crew 2088, and Crew 62 looks forward to next year. After coming home Sunday night, everyone woke up the next morning to march in the annual South Salem Memorial Day Parade and take part in the days ceremonies and activites. The Crew was proud to be part of the important day, and then relaxed after a busy weekend with a barbeque back at the fire house.
