Vista and South Salem Dual Dispatched

On Saturday the 25th, at 8:05pm, Vista and South Salem Fire Departments were dual dispatched to a residence on Kitchawan Road for a reported structure fire. South Salem Firefighters were in quarters after returning from a carbon monoxide alarm activation. Car 2453 and Tanker 2 responded as the tones went out, Engine 167 assembled a crew and responded immediatly as well.
Upon arrival of Car 2453, a size up was transmitted determining the house to be fully involved with the residents safetly out and an exterior attack only would be established.
Vista Chief 2561 arrived shortly after and established command as Vista Engine 141 arrived on scene and was first in the driveway followed by South Salem Tanker 2 and Engine 167.
As seen in the pictures, Engine 167 was able to establish a water source at the pond on the property. Meanwhile, Engine 168 established a secondary water source a short distance down Kitchawan Road.

After the scene was secure and no injuries, South Salem was put back in service by Vista shorty after 11:00pm.
