Weekend MVA

On Saturday afternoon, South Salem firefighters were alerted to an MVA with injuries on Rt. 35 at Mark Mead Rd. R-21 arrived on scene minutes later to find a head on collision between an SUV and a van. A second ambulance was immediately requested due the number of victims. Shortly after Car 2452, 2453 and Engine 167 arrived.
Crews went to work assisting LVAC with patient care, containing fluids and directing traffic.
Thanks to the quick response and work from Sal's Towing, South Salem firefighters were able to clear the scene in about 30 minutes.
