Car vs. Tree on Route 35

On Sunday morning, June 19th, South Salem firefighters were alerted to a motor vehicle accident, car vs. tree, near 831 Route 35. First arriving units found a single car, off the road, into a tree. The crews from Rescue 21 and Engine 167 went to work, assisting the Lewisboro Volunteer Ambulance Corps and paramedics, removing the two occupants from the cars via backboards.
South Salem Fire Police directed traffic around the scene until the car was towed and all SSFD units returned to service.
