MVA with Injuries on Route 35

On Monday afternoon, August 8th, South Salem was dispatched to a two car motor vehicle accident with injuries on Route 35 in front of the Fifth Division Deli. First arriving units found a car rear ended by a commercial van. The two occupants of the car were complaining of severe neck and back pain.
South Salem firefighters went to work assisting LVAC in removing the patients from the car as well as shutting down one lane of Route 35 and directing traffic. South Salem was clear within 30 minutes.
