Progress Underway On New Chiefs Vehicle

Progress is underway on a new chiefs car to be put in service. The South Salem Fire District recently purchased a 2008 Dodge Durango. It will be going through a few phases to become an emergency vehicle. The striping and lettering has been completed by The Sign Shop of Brewster. Lighting and radios as well as a command cabinet will be installed by Specialty Warning Systems of Danbury. This vehicle is expected to go into service with in the next month as the new car 2451.
