South Salem Wins 3 Trophies at Yorktown Parade
By Captain Avery Scott
June 30, 2008
On Wednesday, June 25th, the South Salem Fire Department participated in Yorktown Heights Fire Department's annual parade. South Salem members arrived early and began touching up all the trucks to ensure they looked their best. The parade stepped off at 7pm and snaked through the streets. As always, a huge crowd was on hand to watch and cheer.
In the end, South Salem won trophies for Best Antique Apparatus, Best Jr. Corps and Best Dress Uniform.
A big thank you to Yorktown for the fun and hospitality as always. See you next year.
