July 19, 2008
South Salem Fire Department personnel awoke at 3:24 Saturday morning for a report of a one vehicle accident with possible ejection. Lewisboro PD was already on scene with no occupants in the car, officers requested lighting to assist in a search of the surrounding crash site. Car 2451 was first to arrive, establishing command and planning a search. Lewisboro PD returned from the known residence of the driver as well as the registered home of the vehicle with no result. As Car 2452, Rescue 21, and Engine 167 arrived; a combined search was initiated involving Lewisboro PD, Lewisboro VAC, and South Salem Fire Department personnel along with the use of two thermal imaging cameras. The search was concluded by 4:22 when all units were cleared. The occupants were later located by Lewisboro PD; they had left the scene of the accident as was concluded by the search.
