Head-on-Collision Route 35

A head on collision required the response of the South Salem Fire Department on September 3rd at 2:41 in the afternoon. A westbound vehicle crossed over the center double yellow line striking the other vehicle head on causing injuries to both drivers as well as a passenger. Cars 2451, 2452, 2453 as well as Rescue 21, Engine 167 and Utility 79 were required to shut down a section of Route 35, stabilize the vehicles and assist with patient care. Lewisboro VAC transported two patients from one vehicle as an ambulance from Vista FD was requested to transport a third patient.
