In the late night hours of December 18th, a fire broke out in a private dwelling in the Purdy's section of the Croton Falls Fire District. C2073 called a 10-75 (working fire) with reports of heavy fire, which brought in mutual aid from many area Departments including both an Engine and Tanker from South Salem. Members assisted with ventilation and overhaul efforts while C2451 handled water operations.

The volunteer fire service relies heavily on its mutual aid agreements with neighboring Departments and this was a perfect example of how this system works. We are always proud to support our neighbors.
