Pre-Christmas Fire In New Canaan
By SSFD
December 24, 2008
South Salem's fourth call of the day was a mutual aid request from the New Canaan, CT, Fire Department. New Canaan was fighting a fire in a 6,600 sq. ft. house on a private drive off of Canoe Hill Road. Car 2452 and T-2 responded. Moments after their arrival, a request was put out for Rescue 21 with additional man-power to respond to the scene. Tanker 2 assisted with water supply, while the responding South Salem Firefighters assisted New Canaan and surrounding departments with fire suppression. South Salem members were on scene for about four hours.
