MVA ROUTE 35 & DEBBIE LA. 04/20/09

At approx. 3pm on Monday, April 20th, South Salem Firefighters were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Rt. 35 at Debbie's Lane. Chief (Car 2451) and Asst. Chief (Car 2452) responded immediately, followed closely by Rescue 21 and Engine 167. Asst. Chief arrived on scene and advised R-21 to continue to the scene and sent E-167 down Rt.35 at Adams Hill to redirect traffic. Utility 79 was ordered to redirect traffic at the opposite end of Adams Hill. The crew on R-21 secured the vehicle, cleaned up fluids in the roadway and assisted Lewisboro VAC with patient care. South Salem was clear within half an hour.
