Accident on Rt. 35

On Thursday morning, July 23rd, South Salem Firefighters were alerted to a motor vehicle accident with injuries on Rt. 35 at Waccabuc River Lane. Cars 2451, 2452, R-21, E-167 and U-79 all responded within minutes. R-21 and E-167 arrived on scene first and confirmed a two car accident with one victim who was pregnant. Firefighters went to work securing the vehicles and assisting LVAC with patient care. South Salem Fire Police provided traffic control. The pregnant woman was taken to the hospital as a precaution. South Salem Firefighters cleared the scene within a half hour.
